Privacy

Short version: the hok app keeps your pet’s record on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. I never see it. This website collects no personal data: no forms, no cookies, no tracking.

Who I am

hok is made by Ricardo Bessa, an independent developer in Portugal. For anything about your data, email hello@hok.pet.

Emails

If you write to hello@hok.pet, your message lands in my own inbox, a Gmail account run by Google. I use it only to answer you, and I’ll delete it if you ask. If you’re unhappy with how I handle your data, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD (cnpd.pt), or to the authority in your own country.

The website

hok.pet uses no cookies and no advertising. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn’t identify you. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to deliver the page and protect it from abuse. Fonts are served from this site, not from a third party. If you pick a language, your browser remembers it on your device; it’s never sent to me.

The app

No account. You don’t sign up, and I don’t know who you are.

Your record stays yours. Everything you log, photos included, is stored on your iPhone and synced through your own private iCloud, under your Apple ID. It doesn’t pass through my servers. I can’t see it.

Sharing is your choice. When you create a vet PDF, it goes only where you send it.

Payments for the unlimited-pets unlock and tips are handled by Apple. I don’t receive your payment details.

No ads, no tracking, no data sold.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
